Department of Defense (DoD) Enterprise Portal Service (DEPS) is built on a configurable environment with the inherent capabilities of Microsoft SharePoint, offered in shared and dedicated environments. DISA manages the common infrastructure that supports and provides the solution which enables your organization to:

  • Efficiently and effectively work together, sharing documents, tracking projects and managing work processes.
  • Utilize a central repository easily accessible to your organizational resources to store information to satisfy your mission needs.
  • Receive the security necessary to protect your organizations data by giving the ability to control who can access and share your documents.

Using a modular design, DISA has the capability to grow capacity to support the entire DoD. DEPS provides redundancy both locally and remotely for all components of the system, replicating data between paired sister sites to facilitate Continuity of Operations (COOP). DISA integrates your organization into the operational structure and provides 24/7 support through a central service desk.

Shared Environments

Shared environments allow your organization's site administrators customization at the site collection level within an environment that is shared among participating mission partners. Sized to meet the storage needs and user capacities with the flexibility to grow with your organization, shared environments include COOP capabilities and access to a pre-production environment.

Pre-Production

A pre-production environment is available for shared and dedicated environments  in DEPS to validate site collections, migrations, and applications before moving to production. This environment allows organizations to verify the following items prior to moving to production:

  • Full site functionality and CAC authentication
  • Version compatibility
  • Content, applications and customization

The DEPS team will coordinate and monitor the transition from the pre-production environment to production, ensuring a successful transition.

DEPS provides a Level II/Tier I through III service desk to your organization's Level I/Tier I and II end user support. DEPS Service Desk will coordinate with partner's service desk to resolve incidents and problems related to DEPS, should they arise. DISA integrates your organization into the operational structure and provides 24-by-7 support through a central service desk ensuring our partners receive the support and information assurance when they need it most.

The DEPS Service Desk utilizes a combination of remote access/control services and touch labor support for associated customer support to resolve incidents and problems related to DEPS. The DEPS Service Desk will escalate the ticket using their normal ticket procedures.
