The Test and Evaluation Executive (TEO) provides test and evaluation (T&E) oversight and guidance to DISA acquisition programs to ensure consistent application of sound T&E methodologies and processes. TEO has highly skilled and motivated computer scientists, electrical engineers, operations research analysts, information technology specialists, and management analysts who establish, review, and influence T&E strategies, policies, and procedures for DISA acquisition programs. They represent DISA as well as champion DISA T&E strategies within the Office of the Secretary of Defense T&E community. TEO establishes information sharing processes for DISA T&E professionals and provides a professional, state-of-the-art test facility to support further development and testing of DISA capabilities.
MISSION
Provide responsive, agile and cost effective interoperability and/or other testing, evaluation and certification to support rapid acquisition and fielding of global net-centric warfighting capabilities.
FUNCTIONS
- Strive for speed and agility to support efficient and effective interoperability testing and certification to facilitate deployment of war fighting capabilities. Improve T&E processes and gain efficiencies by ensuring integration and synchronization of T&E efforts among proponents, operational sponsors, developers and test agents.
- Expand T&E partnerships, establish T&E federation and enhance the T&E environment through the use of virtualization and other advanced methodologies that promote the most efficient use of DISA’s T&E resources.
- Ensure use of consistent, sound, measureable test and evaluation strategies, and execute at any level of test, independently or partnering with any service or agency and provide confident, reliable results to decision makers. Work within the statutory requirements imposed by Title 10, coordinating and executing tests, evaluating and certifying results in support of deploying DISA, Military Services and other Defense Agencies warfighting capabilities.
- Leverage DoD T&E resource programs to support the DISA T&E mission.
