DISA participates in ‘Taking the Pentagon to the People’

The Defense Information Systems Agency participated in Taking the Pentagon to the People last month. The event was hosted by Central State University in Ohio in collaboration with the Department of Defense’s Diversity Management Operation Center. There were over 200 attendees including students, faculty and staff.

Taking the Pentagon to the People is a Department of Defense event series at universities across the country that provides information on various DOD services, career opportunities for students and recent graduates, and tips to apply. DISA’s participation assists with raising awareness that DISA is an employer of choice.

DISA Information Systems Security Manager Tyrone Hurley Jr., Workforce Services and Development Directorate, Program Accreditation, led a session on navigating DOD in a virtual environment which included an overview of DISA and its career opportunities for students and professionals.


Hurley joined a host of DOD representatives who highlighted some of their current and future initiatives in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, language, business, education, and many other mission-critical fields. Speakers were from the:
