Background

If your agency requires commercial satellite solutions, look to the Future COMSATCOM Services Acquisition (FCSA) program. In July 2009, the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and General Services Administration (GSA) became partners in the development and execution of a new program to replace the following contracts that will expire by 2012:

  • DISA Defense Information Systems Network Satellite Transmission Services – Global (DSTS-G)
  • GSA SATCOM II contracts
  • DoD Immarsat contracts

GSA & DISA Partnership

The collaboration of GSA and DISA for FCSA:

  • Creates a common marketplace for all government customers
  • Allows ongoing opportunities to add new competitors and technologies
  • Ensures solutions that meet government information assurance and protection requirements
  • Reduces acquisition cost to replace existing contracts, saving taxpayers millions of dollars
