As reported to Congress in June 2006, DSTS-G serves the majority of DoD's commercial satellite services needs in a highly competitive framework, and as a result DSTS-G has continued to provide prices below both industry averages and competing contracts. Also, as a result of recently streamlined business processes, DSTS-G now offers faster order turn around with reduced fees.
