MISSION

The Defense Information Systems agency Operations Directorate has 14 field offices/commands and seven divisions that synchronize Agency global net-centric solutions with DoD's COCOMs/services/agencies to support the full spectrum of military operations. Additionally, the Operations Directorate works closely with the Joint Task Force-Global Network Operations in its mission to operate and defend DoD's Global Information Grid—an information technology infrastructure located in more than 100 nations worldwide.

FUNCTIONS

The function of the Human Resources Division is to act as the civilian and military personnel and manpower liaisons in support of the directorate and field locations.

This includes managing:

Civilian and Military awards and decorations

  • DISA Performance Appraisal System (PAS)
  • National Security Personnel System (NSPS)
  • Student/Intern Programs
  • DISA Quality of Life Programs
  • GIG Ops Military Reserve Program
  • Periodic security reinvestigations
  • Incoming personnel clearances and badges
  • Visitor Clearance Requests to outside organizations
  • Senior Champions’ Program for DISA’s Telecom Workforce
  • Military evaluations
  • Military manning
