MISSION
Develop dynamic and static state-of-the-art models for the Global Information Grid Enterprise Services (GIG ES) (network through applications level of the stack) and integrates these to enable tradeoff studies to recommend in real-time the optimal GIG configuration for prioritized performance, availability, and security.
FUNCTIONS
- Develop and implement an analytical framework and modeling tools for end-to-end GIG-performance modeling and assessment.
- Dynamically collect and assess key GIG performance parameters and, interacting with model-based simulations, recommend optimal GIG configurations to achieve prioritized DoD mission capability and effects.
- Develop models, run simulations, and provide optimized and integrated designs at each level of the GIG architecture.
- Define and develop advanced analytical, optimization and operations research techniques for GIG topological design and performance assessment tools.
- Develop end-to-end utility computing, storage and bandwidth designs to support potentially competing mission capability thread demands.
