MISSION
Facilitate and manage joint compliance assessments of Interoperability and Supportability based requirements during the standard acquisition life cycle evaluations of DoD Information Technology and National Security Systems, in Collaboration with DOD Components. Maintain processes and procedures that direct DISA elements to conduct milestone based assessments of all JCIDS and Acquisition (ISP) documents.
FUNCTIONS
- Support the Joint Staff J6, Assistant Secretary Defense (National Information Infrastructure) and DISA in the assessment of all Information Technology & National Security Systems for interoperability and supportability requirements and eventual J6 Certification.
- Facilitate the assessments of individual systems’ NR-KPP requirements, i.e., TV1/ TV2, and technical capabilities appraised against the Global Information Grid, Network Centric Enterprise Services, associated Joint systems, standards and architectural compliance.
- Develop and maintain interoperability and supportability tools that aid the J6 and ASD-NII in assessing and documenting milestone certification of systems undergoing evaluation per the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) and Information Support Plan (ISP).
