DRIVING THERE

Driving Directions | Directions Once You're On Post | Parking | The Cost of Driving

Perhaps early morning meetings and nights spent working late are not uncommon aspects of your job. On the other hand, maybe driving your kids to soccer practice or attending swim meets demand that your afternoon route remains flexible. Life can be hectic, and for that reason, you value the convenience of an independent commute.

If you choose to commute to and from Fort Meade by driving alone, we'll help you figure out how to make it work to your advantage by examining driving routes and commute times. In addition, the BRAC message boards provide a forum for employees to discuss commuting tips and strategies.

Parking

There will be ample parking spaces on the DISA compound at Fort Meade. The best part is there is no cost for parking. Most of the spaces are uncovered spots on the ground level. There will be a two-level parking structure that has spaces assigned to DISA seniors, VIP visitors, car/vanpool vehicles, low emission vehicles, and reserved parking.

Standard Spaces

Standard spaces are general parking spaces for those driving into work alone. These spaces are unmarked and are in uncovered areas all around the compound. The parking structure will not have any standard spaces.
