DESCRIPTION


DISA Enterprise will be a managed secure voice capability over SIPRNet. It will be an IP-based system that utilizes the SIPRNet infrastructure as well as the VoSIP architecture to deliver Unified Capabilities applications directly to the desktop of the warfighter.

FEATURES


Voice Features

  • Provides an interface between the IP telephony and the circuit-switched network.
  • Provides the full range of supplemental user features (e.g., call hold, call transfer, and abbreviated dialing) available from IP telephony.

Security Features

  • Uses a separate IP address space for voice communications.
  • Firewalls are installed at each VoSIP core site, and access control lists are deployed on all routers and gateways to ensure that only permitted traffic flows through them.
  • Maintains compliance with Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) monitoring and implementation according to the guidelines in the IAVA Management Plan.
  • The VoSIP services features an Identity Management Solution (IMS) designed to discover, identify, and track the use of network resources.

Value to Our Mission Partners DISA Enterprise CVVoIP service will transition former Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN) users to CVVoIP services as DISA continues to phase out of Time-Division Multiplexing (TDM) capabilities. This service will replace costly technologies with new Enterprise services to achieve cost avoidance and reduction.
