Global Directory Services
EDS is a suite of services providing DoD Enterprise identity and contact attributes. Local directories must leverage the EDS provisioning, synchronization and authentication services. Applications requiring people discovery functions must use EDS as the source for their enterprise directory information. In addition, applications provide direct Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) authentication or utilize DISA’s fee-for-service secure authentication services.
