Enterprise Services

EASF / IDSS

PRINT PAGE Add This

EASF is an enterprise Active Directory forest scoped to provide authentication services for DoD enterprise applications hosted within DISA.  EASF is optimized to reduce security risk by hosting neither end-user devices nor support of external Windows Active Directory trusts.

IdSS connects to authoritative identity sources to collect and groom identity information required by DISA-hosted applications.  Identity data is sourced from the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) and DISA’s Global Directory Service to provide person and persona identity and contact data elements for personas that have a current DoD Common Access Card (CAC).  IdSS allows DISA partners to map enterprise services to specific end-users.  IdSS controls all account creation, deletion, and updates into the EASF for enterprise services support.  IdSS provides an interface with registry data and contact information for DoD or DoD component-level information technology (IT) directory systems called IdSS Machine Interface (IdMI).  IdMI includes person and persona identity and contact data elements for personas that have a current CAC.
