BASIC UNIX COURSE
INFORMATION
On Skillport (IT E-learning) there is a basic UNIX course that is a prerequisite for the Advanced SA course. Instructions for the various organizations to access the training are provided below. It is primarily a basic UNIX overview of commands and how they operate. Since AETC no longer offers the basic UNIX instruction, this is the only location to receive that training.
AF
Log into the AF Portal
Locate and Select the IT E-Learning link
Left hand side Top Portal Links and Applications
Right hand side, scroll down, under Force Development Links section
Under AF Learning Programs folder select Level 1 GCCS-J Basic Unix
Administration and Enroll in the learning program
Army
Use "Search for" to locate the courses
Coast Guard
Locate and select the SkillSoft link; log in and Use "Search for" to locate the courses
DISA
Use "Search for" to locate the courses
Marines
Select "Catalog Search", Type in Course Code; i.e. 80533
Navy
Look for the Navy E-Learning Online Courses; Log in and Use "Search for" to locate the courses
