Wall assumes command of DISA Northern Field Command

Air Force Col Trevor A. Wall assumed command of the Defense Information Systems Agency’s Northern Field Command  (DISA NORTHCOM), previously commanded by Air Force Col Albert Z. Talamantez, during a change of command ceremony held Aug. 17 at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Talamantez retired after a 26-year distinguished career.

Wall’s most recent assignment was as the J6 of U.S. Northern Command’s (USNORTHCOM) Joint Task Force Civil Support at Fort Eustis, Virginia.

Cyberspace Operations Executive Larry Klooster traveled from DISA Headquarters to preside over the ceremony.

He praised Wall’s distinguished career and highlighted his leadership qualities. Klooster also acknowledged DISA NORTHCOM’s self-proclaimed status as DISA’s number one field office, and challenged Wall to continue to sustain that title during his command.

After formally taking command, Wall thanked Klooster and the DISA NORTHCOM workforce for the opportunity to continue the success of the unit.

“I am truly honored to assume command of DISA NORTHCOM and look forward to leading a great team in providing DISA’s portfolio of services to support the North American Aerospace Defense Command and USNORTHCOM missions,” he said.
