The DISN Connection Process Guide version 5.1 is now available to download or view through the integrated content on DISA.mil. This release provides major updates with information on the transition to the RMF, an updated CDS section, updates to the RCM section (Scans) including information on a pilot program, and other information as detailed in the DISN CPG 5.1 Revisions document, as well as the CPG Executive Summary.

The DISN Connection Process Guide version 5.0 is now available to download or view through the integrated content on DISA.mil. This release provides major updates with information on the transition to the Risk Management Framework, an updated Cross Domain Solutions section, updates to the Remote Compliance Monitoring section (Scans) including information on a pilot program, and other information as detailed in the DISN CPG 5.0 Revisions document, as well as the CPG Executive Summary.

October 8, 2014: Updated CDS Trainings
Announcing updates to the Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) 101 and CDS Connection Approval Phases computer-based trainings (CBT) from the Enterprise Connection Division Mission Partner Training Program. July 25, 2014: Enterprise Connections Q&A
Join the Enterprise Connection Division for an Open Topics Training + Q&A Session on the Connection Approval Office, PPSM, and DSAWG. July 18, 2014: NEW: PPSM Network Boundaries CBT
Announcing the newest computer-based training (CBT) from the Enterprise Connection Division Mission Partner training Program: Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM) Network Boundaries. Have you ever wondered about the PPSM Network Boundaries? Would you like to know when a Component Local Services Assessment will be required versus the PPSM Vulnerability Assessment report? Then spend some time exploring the PPSM Network Boundaries training to answer these questions, and understand the importance of this CBT to you as a Mission Partner, Network Administrator, Assessment and Authorization authority, or Software Developer.

March 5, 2014: NEW: POA&M CBT
Announcing the release of the Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) computer-based training (CBT). The POA&M training describes the requirements and common mistakes of the POA&M, which is a required artifact in the Connection Approval Process (CAP) Package. This training reviews the POAM policy and purpose, shows a correct POA&M example, reviews the areas of the POA&M in detail such as the header, column headers, and CAT Level findings, and provides a POA&M template download link.

There will also be a POA&M Training and Q&A session on Wednesday, March 12th at 0900 and 1300. Visit the Mission Partner Training Program page to find attendance information.

February 21, 2014: Open Topic Q&A session

December 23, 2013: DISN CPG 4.3.1
Announcing the release of the DISN Connection Process Guide version 4.3.1, available to view on our website or for download. This version expands on GIG Waivers requirements, defines Type Accredited Systems, updates the Non-DoD Validation and Revalidation templates, details notification process for discontinued/cancelled circuits, and updates the RCM appendix.

November 12, 2013: DSAWG BRIEFING CBT
[This training is available on Intelink.] The DSAWG Briefing Standards training is designed to give you an overview of requirements and steps involved in presenting a briefing at a DSAWG monthly meeting. It provides the rationale/history behind the monthly DSAWG meetings, what type request must be briefed at the DSAWG, and timeline for submitting a briefing to the DSAWG. The CBT provides details on the agenda approval process and briefing requirements, including where to find templates, the DSAWG briefing guide, and other resources, including many examples. This training also goes over tips for preparing to attend the DSAWG and briefing tips for the day of the DSAWG. For an overview of the DSAWG, including its mission and policy guidance, please review the DSAWG 101 computer based training.

September 30, 2013: SNAP USER GUIDE CBT
The new SNAP (Systems/Network Approval Process) User Guide computer based training documents procedures for partners to follow when requesting an account and provides instructions for registering circuits. It is designed to document the correct procedures for partners to follow when requesting an account in the SNAP database, and provides instructions for registering circuits in SNAP. Watch the CBT, and then visit the SNAP database to get started at: https://snap.dod.mil.

August 15, 2013: PPSM REGISTRY CBT

Announcing the release of the PPSM Registry computer-based training (CBT).  The PPSM Registry CBT will describe to you what, when, why, and how to register in the DoD PPSM Registry. You will learn that you will be registering your use of internet protocols, data services, and associated ports (i.e. Ports, Protocols, and Services) that are within applications of DoD Information Systems you have accessing government resources and critical applications, both within your enclave and across the GIG. This registration is the first step to ensuring compliance with PPSM (DoDI 8551.01) and to secure uninterrupted access, since all non-compliant DoD Information Systems will be blocked by network protection devices. The Defense Switched Network, or DSN Topology Requirements computer-based training covers requirements of DSN topology diagrams, their purpose, and additional requirements for DSN/TDM Switch, and DSN Soft Switch diagrams.

May 15, 2013: Updated: DISN CPG v4.3
The DISN Connection Process Guide (CPG) version is now available for web navigation or download. This version of the CPG updates and cancels the previous DISN Connection Process Guide 4.2, January 3, 2013, clarifies DoD sponsor Consent to Monitor (CTM) requirements, revises Tactical and Mobile SGS connection procedures to DoD Gateways, provides details on the Repeatable CDS Accreditation process.

April 24, 2013: NEW! PPSM OVERVIEW CBT
A DoD Ports, Protocols, and Services Management, or PPSM Overview computer-based training session is now available which gives an overview of the mission, authority, processes, and products of PPSM.
