MISSION

Develop, coordinate, and implement repeatable processes to complete program executive office (PEO) decision packages in a timely manner and provide acquisition life cycle oversight. Exercise accountability through mandatory reporting mechanism and developed standards. Coordinate and present PEO annual program plan and budget.

FUNCTIONS

  • Provide acquisition life cycle oversight and assistance of the programs/projects/initiatives, from requirements management through implementation planning and execution.
  • Ensure that Department of Defense (DoD), DISA, and PEO strategic goals are incorporated into program/project/initiative strategies and governance and track implementation.
  • Verify proper development, maintenance, coordination, and approval of all documents in accordance with statute and with the DoD 5000 series acquisition directives.
  • Issue program direction on acquisition matters to include cost, schedule, and performance management.
  • Exercise accountability through mandatory reporting mechanisms (e.g., quarterly Defense Acquisition Executive Summary reporting, breach reporting, etc.).
  • Provide appropriate PEO and/or program/service representation on external integrated product teams.
  • Ensure that acquisitions implement capabilities identified in authoritative requirements documents.
  • Oversee annual program plan development, coordination, and presentation.
  • Act as the staff coordinator for the management and submission of acquisition funds as approved in the annual appropriations act, unfunded requirements, Program Objective Memorandum submissions, budget forecasts, obligations, and expenditure plans.
  • Execute personnel management transactions, ensuring that acquisition positions are filled with appropriately qualified individuals.
  • Establish and maintain internal and external information/data repository.
