MISSION
The Teleport system provides deployed forces with increased satellite telecommunications for multi-band and multimedia connectivity from deployed locations throughout the world to online Defense Information System Network (DISN) Service Delivery Nodes (SDN) and legacy tactical command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence (C4I) systems.
FUNCTIONS
- Provide deployed forces with increased satellite telecommunications for multi-band and multimedia connectivity from deployed locations throughout the world to online DISN SDNs and legacy tactical C4I systems.
- Manage and report on cost, schedule, and performance of the Teleport system in accordance with milestone decision authority direction.
- Develop an overall Teleport system architecture and design consistent with Teleport operational schedules, allowing procurement actions to commence when required.
- Ensure compliance with the Teleport operational requirements document requirements and consistency with military service and DISN plans.
- Oversee integration, deployment, training, and installation/fielding of the Department of Defense Teleport System.
- Provide cost estimates, funding requests, and reports on financial status associated with the development of the Teleport system.
- Ensure that the Teleport system meets quality of service and logistics support (manning, training, maintainability, etc.) requirements.
