MISSION

Provide guidance and recommendations to the Principal Director, Operations Directorate (GO), on all aspects of financial resources and strategic planning within the Directorate. It is our mission to ensure that all GO management has timely, accurate, and reliable financial data for all decision making. This includes support to the 14 Field Commands and Offices in 28 locations across 7 countries under GO.

FOCUS AREA DESCRIPTION

DISA's commitment to provide operational excellence and best value requires stringent fiscal stewardship. Maintaining quality utilization of financial and operational resources to meet DISA Operations strategies requires a close partnership between the DISA Comptroller and Operations Directorate (Headquarters and Field Units). DISA Operations is a complex global organization with diverse missions, funding types, and personnel. This requires maintaining effective financial controls in the budgetary processes and throughout execution cycles. These initiatives set forth the conditions for success that will maintain a high quality of governance and fiscal responsibility in our support to the warfighter.

FOCAL POINTS

  • Serve as focal point for both strategic and corporate planning
  • Represent the Principal Director on GO financial matters to the Comptroller
  • Develop the President's Budget, BES, and POM exhibits
  • Manage Internal Management Controls program
  • Manage execution of current fiscal year funding
  • Prepare and present annual and quarterly IPR presentations
  • Provide timely and accurate financial reports
  • Recommend and establish funding strategies for new and changing missions
  • Focal point for all Crisis Action Team and Continuity of Operations funding
  • Oversight on all Overseas Contingency Operations funding within DISA
