The Network Services Directorate's Service Delivery Division (NS6) Joint Cyber Implementation Program (JCIP) is a joint unit within DISA comprised of Reserve Component members from throughout the joint communications community. JCIP members currently work and travel globally approximately 200 days per year in support of the president, secretary of defense, combatant commanders, and Global Information Grid (GIG) operations, ensuring leading-edge, real-time net-defense support for the warfighter. JCIP members provide efficient and effective telecommunications infrastructure support along with agile for disaster relief and contingency support worldwide.
MISSION
To engineer and enable worldwide telecommunications systems for the warfighter by mobilizing a team of expert technicians to maintain network services and provide technology refresh capabilities that are consistent with customer needs while exceeding DISA and individual service components' expectations.

DISA's agile force in readiness to provide consistent, reliable, and "state-of-the-art" site implementation services at a moment's notice... worldwide.
FUNCTIONS
The DISA JCIP falls under the Network Services Directorate's NS6 Branch, which is tasked with network infrastructure implementation requirements across the GIG, to include:
- Circuit transitions
- Equipment lifecycle replacement
- Network sustainment
- Backbone upgrade
- Customer build-out requirements
Typical JCIP workload includes, but is not limited to:
- Secure network infrastructure installation
- Information technology equipment configuration and installation
- Circuit testing, troubleshooting, and crossover actions
- Cross-connect cabling
- Site surveys
- Project management
- Quality assurance inspections
RECRUITING
In cooperation with DISA headquarters, select units nominate individual candidates to compete for positions to support the DISA mission; JCIP members are chosen through a national-level board process. DISA assumes associated manpower and mission-related travel costs of augmented personnel during their military personnel appropriation tours with the agency.
