MISSION

Program management and implementation of DoD Information Assurance and NetOps capabilities--provides responsive, secure, and interoperable net-centric solutions necessary to secure and operate the Global Information Grid in support of the Secretary of Defense, combatant commanders, Joint/combined task forces, Services, and Agencies.

VISION

  • Provide Technical Leadership, and Engineering Support for the Development and Implementation of Responsive, Secure, and Interoperable Net-Centric Information Assurance and NETOPS Capabilities within DISA and across the Global Information Grid.

  • Advise DISA Director and senior leadership on IA Issues.

  • Oversee IA posture of DISA programs including C&A and compliance with IA architecture framework.

  • Support GIG IA Portfolio (GIAP) Efforts through participation in GIAP Domain Owners 5. Group, serving as Deputy GIAP IA Portfolio Manager, identifying and addressing IA capability gaps across DoD.

  • Develop IA Strategic Plans for Technical Areas (e.g., Detect, Diagnose, and Respond).

  • Support the Development of the IA Architecture Framework.

  • Lead CND Integration across DISA and DoD and ensure IA synchronization with STRATCOM, JFCOM, OSD, NSA, CND Architecture, and Industry.

  • Review impact to DISA of emerging IA and IA-related policies and develop draft IA policy for OSD. Coordinate with JTF on Communication Tasking Orders (CTOs), Warning Orders, and similar efforts.
