MISSION

The mission of the Analysis and Acquisition Support division is to guide, direct and strengthen cost analyzes within DISA; and to ensure the preparation of credible cost estimates of resources required to develop, procure and sustain automated information systems and information technology capabilities that enable information dominance for the warfighter.

FUNCTIONS

  • Publish DISA cost estimating policies and practices.
  • Conduct reviews of acquisition briefs/documents and provide recommendations to the CFE/Comptroller.
  • Maintain total cost model.
  • Provide cost analysis services to ensure the affordability and cost effectiveness of DISA built/acquired systems.
  • Provide independent support for DISA program/project costing efforts, to include issuing guidance on the cycle cost estimating, cost/benefit analysis, and economic analysis.
  • Manage the Commercial Activities Program (A-76) that establishes federal policy for the performance of commercial activities and sets forth the procedures for determining functions that should be performed in-house by government personnel versus contractor personnel.
